ABNA24 - The World Union of Muslim Scholars has issued a statement, calling on all segments and groups of the Lebanese nation to strictly avoid being drawn into sedition and civil wars, which are the goal of the Zionist occupying regime.The World Union of Muslim Scholars emphasized, in this statement, that it follows with deep concern the painful situation in dear Lebanon and the dimensions of killing, destruction and genocide, which are similar to the events in the powerful Gaza Strip.
The statement emphasized: In light of the sensitive circumstances and increasing challenges that Lebanon is facing, the World Union of Muslim Scholars expresses its solidarity with Lebanon and reiterates its firm position in supporting the security, stability, territorial integrity and health of all segments of its people.
The union emphasized: "In the name of the scholars of the nation, we send a sincere call to our brothers in Lebanon from all groups and tendencies, including Sunni, Shia, Christian and other tribes, to practice divine piety towards their homeland and, at the highest level, to be vigilant against slipping into internal seditions or side conflicts that will only lead to destruction and annihilation."
According to this statement, the dark experiences of the past in Lebanon have proven that civil wars do not bring any victory and no side will be victorious or defeated; rather, all are losers and the homeland will pay a heavy price for it by losing its security, stability, economy and social fabric.
The World Union of Muslim Scholars noted: Today, responsibility demands that the voice of wisdom and reason prevail, that unity of ranks and civil peace be insisted on, and that all provocative and divisive calls from any source and with any motive be rejected.
The union also called on the Lebanese government, leadership and institutions to fulfill their full responsibilities in protecting citizens, intelligently managing the crisis, and employing all means to maintain security and stability.
The World Union of Muslim Scholars added: We emphasize the need for the Arab, Islamic and international community to mobilize to assume their responsibilities to stop the aggression, ensure the protection of civilians, safeguard Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and secure vital centers, including airports, ports and crossings.
This international organization also called on humanitarian and charitable organizations to mobilize all their resources to provide immediate relief aid to the victims and stand by the Lebanese people in this ordeal.
The statement of the World Union of Muslim Scholars concluded: The current stage requires the highest levels of prudence and solidarity, avoiding political tensions in the midst of crises, and integrating official and popular efforts to protect the land, nation, and government of Lebanon and prevent the country from sliding into chaos, sedition, and further conflicts.
